I’ll have a tall mocha latte and a SourceEcreative to go, please.
If you’re one of those producers who’ve just dumped your Macbook for an iPhone, you’ll now be able to search the extensive SourceEcreative database more easily from your mobile device thanks to our new mobile version.  It maximizes use of the SourceEcreative web site for all mobile devices, including BlackBerry, Droid, Pre and other smartphones.

SourceEcreative has also made it easier for users of SourceEcreative.com to keep up on the latest Nike or Apple work on our site, thanks to a new email alert service that allows them to follow the work of selected brands, agencies, directors, production companies, editors or other players in the advertising arena.

The mobile application of SourceEcreative was designed to be easier to use than an iPhone app, as it requires no downloading.  Smartphone users who access SourceEcreative.com from their mobile devices will automatically be directed to our mobile site, which has been specially reformatted.  No special actions are required on the part of the user, who can save a SourceEcreative icon to their device’s menu or main screen to re-launch the site with a single touch or click.

SourceEcreative email alerts are similar to Google Alerts, in that they provide immediate updates of the latest relevant SourceEcreative search results based on what the user is looking for. They allow SourceEcreative members to monitor recent work from an agency, a brand, a production company or a director, for example, or to keep track of the latest work posted to the site from competitors.

Once logged in to the service, a new email alert window will let them specify key search terms, such as “Nike,” “Smuggler,” “Goodby” or “electronics.”  As soon as any new work—whether it’s a traditional TV commercial, a web viral, a rich media ad or a music video—with those terms included in the credit information is added to the SourceEcreative database, they’ll get an email alert with links directly to the work.

“We’re constantly working to make our information more accessible to our users, and both of these improvements help us achieve that,” says Pamela Maythenyi, Founder of SourceEcreative.  “Tracking the work of a variety of agencies, brands or directors is much easier and more fluid, and you can more easily access our database while on the go.”

To set up SourceEcreative email alerts, users should log in, then click on the email alerts button located at the top of the Search Spots page. The button appears next to the buttons for My User Preferences, Live Support and Add Your Spots.
